Electric Guitars

I like electric guitars:

Played mellow and moody

frantic or fast_____

on CDs or tapes

at home or in cars_

live in the streets,

at gigs or in bars.

I like electric guitars:

played choppy like reggae

or angry like rock

or chirpy like jazz

or strummy like pop

or heavy like metal__

it bothers me not.

I like electric guitars:

their strings and their straps

and their wild wammy bars__

their  jangling and twanging

and funky wah-wahs_

their fuzz boxes frets

and multi-effects_

pick ups, machine heads,

mahogany necks_

their plectrums heir wires,

and big amplifiers.

I like electric guitars:

played loudly, politely_

dully or brightly_

daily or nightly_

badly or nicely.

I like electric guitars:

bass, lead and rhythm_

I basically dig 'em_

I  like electric guitars
